Special Issue Introduction

The pathophysiology of cerebral aneurysms is complex and multifactorial. Inflammation has been shown to be an important contributor to the pathogenesis of cerebral aneurysms. Herein, we have assembled a collection of articles from renowned experts in the field of cerebrovascular disease, in order to clarify the current understanding of the role of inflammation in the formation, progression, and rupture of cerebral aneurysms, as well as to delineate future directions for continued investigations.
